Nine Discourses on Commodus, Part IV shows it: dark scrawls drift over a pale grey ground, patches of red beneath, the whole thing hovering between drawing and script.\n\nAs a poster the work is printed on 250gsm stock, the weight of stiff card, so it stays steady without buckling. The acid free paper keeps those pale greys from yellowing over time.\n\nIn a study it sits above a reading chair. Two metres back the grey surface looks quiet, and from the chair itself the individual scrawls reveal their own directions, some dragged, some quick.","brand":"CY","offers":[{"title":"40x60 cm \/ 16x24″","offer_id":50601183379675,"sku":"51bb7db2-ac65-4816-a145-c71154a2f2c3","price":138.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"60x90 cm \/ 24x36″","offer_id":50601183412443,"sku":"d890b208-b0ae-4464-a3cf-b02cd2474192","price":199.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0854\/4790\/1403\/files\/b62883c3-df64-48a8-b131-7fce46e5eb47.jpg?v=1791499296","url":"https:\/\/cytwomblypaintings.com\/products\/nine-discourses-on-commodus-part-iv-by-cy-twombly-poster","provider":"CY","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
